TOP TIPS ON TRAVELING WITH YOUR BABY
Traveling with a baby isn’t always easy - but we got your back Mama! Here are some tips to help you and your little one travel stress-free.
Feeding during flights
Breastfeeding / feeding your baby on a flight can really help calm your baby while surrounded by a bunch of unusual sounds, noises, and people. During takeoff and landing, it can be particularly beneficial as sucking and swallowing helps to reduce the pressure in the ears of babies, minimizing discomfort. If you are breastfeeding, Superbra nursing available in Mama’s Box is a life-changer! It’s slip-on seamless design provides extreme comfort for you and easy access for baby.
Keep them entertained
You’re probably exhausted and all you want is for your little one to take a nap! Remember it’s important to keep your little one busy, especially on a long-haul flight. You can always bring some small toys, cardboard books, or puzzles to keep your baby distracted. On my previous flight, I saw a flight attendant giving a blown glove (it looked like a balloon) to calm a toddler while landing, which worked pretty well! Entertaining and bright baby toys such as the Hape Stay-put Rattle set (with a suction that can stick to any surface) or Hape Number and Colors Cubes will definitely keep you and your baby happy during a long flight! Both these Hape products are available in Mama’s Box.
Dress your baby in layers
Temperatures may change during the travel and its essential to dress your baby in layers and comfortable clothes. Comfortable shoes are especially necessary if your baby started walking or crawling. Mocc Ons are specially designed to protect your baby’s feet and keep them warm. Also, these shoes are not that easy to take off for your toddler, so you won’t have to worry about cold feet or losing another shoe.
Avoid Hunger Tantrums
You never know when your baby gets hungry, so packing tasty snacks will avoid tantrums triggered by huger! Be sure to pack products that are not perishable. We love the Petit Monkey Lunch Box Set available in Mama’s Travel Box. It comes in a set of three boxes that can be stored inside each other once empty to save space. Keep your little one hydrated because airplanes are drying. I also suggest that you bring a sippy cup or bottle — something to suck on to help relieve air pressure, particularly during take-off and landing.
